@BeLiketheSquerrl Oh sorry man, the “original form” of the Fed was a private bank called the first bank of the US, envisioned by Hamilton. Its charter expired though and wasn’t renewed. The fed, in its modern form, was created in the early teens by Democrats. And yes, it is becoming more powerful and less of a bridge between it and the federal government. That’s why our monetary policy is currently so horrible and will cause us to lose our AAA rating.

@rgrmatt69 Well im not too knowledgeable on the origins of the federal reserve so i dont wanna talk out my ass too much, but that explanation seems kind of shady.

isn’t it possible that they set it up to make it seem like it wouldn’t have much power just so they could be under the radar and gradually increase its power without enraging politicians?

@BeLiketheSquerrl Bc Hamilton set it up to make it private and have a small scope of power. The fed has been a disaster since its inception, primarily through monetary policy. Exacerbated the great depression and will cause us to default in a few years. Should read Friedman, last great economist before every finance genius went into hedge funds and trading.

what about the federal reserves original form makes you think it wasn’t the problem?

People used to barter goods and services before there was a monetary system. It would have to be something of that nature. Learn a skill or learn how to farm cause once it goes down that’s what you’ll need to do. Until we can get rid of all the phonies and corruption.

The fed, in its original form, wasn’t the problem. It’s the retards in the fed now that keep inflating our debt. I can’t wait till the gov crashes from debt and interest payments so I can buy up all kinds of distressed debt with asian equity and make these politicians beg.

I kept hearing that Ron Paul is kooky or something and his ideas are whacky…but I gotta say, he sounds like he has a plan to me. Save your own money, balance the budget, and let the people decide where money is spent (at home, duh!)…

As long as people can’t see outside the money system they’ll never understand that there’s a better way for us all to live.

    In time my friend.
In order to stop the war machine, first stop it’s money machine.
Remember the elites are used to being on both sides of a war, and they pick their winners by funding their favorite.

Every time I watch a C-Span-junkie video and George Bush comes on at the end it makes my blood boil. Dictator indeed, wish he’d had a little more time we’d have had a revolution by now and it would be over with. Don’t piss off 80 million gun owners, we will show you who’s boss. The time is way past due.

Folks the stopper is out of the tub
    I predict:
1 The powers that be will orchestrate a stock market collapse prior to the 2010 election because if elections were to be held the Dems would lose, so no elections
2 There would be a run on the banks The gov would then call for a bank holiday like they did in 1929 where noone ever saw a dime of their life savings again
3 Then riots & martial law suspending our constitution. Guns become illegal Patriot go to camps
    Radio/Internet shut down.
